Return of Service (RoS) Agreement
Upon successful completion of the CFA, the signing of a 3 year RoS agreement with the Department of Health and Wellness (NSDoHW), and the granting of a defined license by the CPSNS, candidates will be placed in communities which have been identified and selected by the Nova Scotia Health Authority based on the need for physician services.
The RoS agreement is a legally binding contract between the NSPRAP candidates and the NSDoHW. This contract requires you to provide full-time medical services, for a period of time determined by the NSDoHW, in a community of need. The NSPRAP strongly recommends that all candidates obtain independent legal advice prior to signing the RoS agreement.
